On A Day Like This
1 December, 2002
Author: Pamela O'Brien
It's one of those days,
Where you can close your eyes and still have a perfect sense
of everything going on around you.
Where you can smell the brisk air carrying the sweet scent of barbecques
Where you can hear the planes flying in the distance overhead
Where you can feel the warmth of the sun on your face
combined with the coolness of the shade on your back
Where you can see the children playing basketball,
the people attending church across the way,
the vehicles creeping down small suburban roads
And everything has a wonderful intricate synchronocity.
On days like this,
It's you I miss..
