Lonesome Celebration
13 October, 2002
Author: Pamela O'Brien
Yay! Yay! It's Thanksgiving again,
Everyone's drinking and feasting again,
Yay! Yay! It's time to celebrate,
Come on, they say, don't hesitate.
Im Sorry! I'm sorry! I'm sorry I say,
But I'm not in the mood to party today,
I'm sorry! I'm sorry! I'm sorry you see,
This holiday had a very special meaning to me.
Don't worry! Don't worry! Don't worry they yell,
They don't understand that to me this is hell,
Having to re-live the memories,
Of good times passed with people like these.
I can't! I can't! I can't I cry,
It's impossible for me to have a good time,
You will! You will! You will they try to convince,
But they don't realize that it reminds me of HIM. ..

Pamela (66.38.146.78) -- Saturday, October 26 2002, 06:20 pm LOL - this poem was meant to be kind of sarcastic anger, so I am not surprised that you laughed. I think I just repeated the words because I hate it when peple don't understand that I mean what I am saying, so I just repeat myself over and over again hoping they will get the gist. |
