Questionable Intentions
5 September, 2002
Author: Pamela O'Brien

vinebar

Lately I find myself searching for nothing,
But yearning for something.
It's like heading down a dead-end road looking for the next exit.
I know that I am lonely,
But I refuse to admit it to myself.
There is no cure for this denial,
And the questionable intentions I have every time I find somebody new.
Perhaps it is not their affection that I need,
So much as my own.
All I feel is uncertainty.
I wish I could just live my life without constantly trying to understand it.
