You 'can' Let Go
27 July, 2002

Sitting here, in front of this screen,
I can only wonder why we bother to dream,
Life can be good, this much I know,
But sometimes its only the bad that shows.
Shedding tears is a remedy,
That sometimes brings us back to reality,
But the battle goes on inside our brains,
And we can't help but wonder why we feel this pain.
In my 17 years, I've had my heart ripped to shreds,
A suffering that brings the desire to be dead,
If I would have known life would be this mean,
I would've hid somewhere that I could never be seen.
But the greatest mistake a person can make,
Is constantly fearing making a mistake,
And as much as the world has torn at your soul,
You have to remember that its YOU in control.
The road to happiness is a most treacherous one,
But you are guided by the everlasting sun,
My feelings were just the same as you,
But I turned to myself to find a way through.
The answer to your question, if you really must know,
Is yes, perhaps it is time that you finally let go.
