Rainy Days
17 June, 2002
Author: Pamela O'Brien
The rain is not bad weather,
Its a blessing from the sky,
Little drops of hope,
>From the heaven's cry.
I hear the pitter-patter,
So I open up my eyes,
And there I see a rainbow,
Much to my surprise.
Feel the damp beneath your feet,
Thats the texture of our lives,
Where one turns to doubt,
Its the other that survives.
At the end of every rainbow,
There is no pot of gold,
But apparantly theres happiness,
Or so I'm told.
Miracles come in many forms,
In many different ways,
But I've never felt so thankful,
As on those rainy days.

Martin Vann (67.28.94.109) -- Tuesday, February 11 2003, 04:46 pm I'm fairly, new to the dreamersreality group, still learning my way around and learing how to say what I feel when I read the work of others. I have discovered that there are hundreds of excellent poems on this site. Its like a treasure chest, you just have to dig a little to find the gold. If, I miss a poem and someone leaves an interesting comment about it, hey, that seems to bring the poem to life, its recovered. Happy to say I found this one, via the help of other's comments. Thanks, Pamela, its a very, good presentation! MartinV |
