Goals
20 March, 2002
Author: Barbara Goodhew
When times are tough, and things are rough.
I have goals to make me thrive.
With dreams and goals I feel alive.
Having everything and having it easy is boring
it would be nice but boring.
I have to watch what I'm doing,i enjoy winning even a little.
I see others trying to win plenty, if they do it still isn't enough.
I may be poor but have my goals.
Not rich and bored

Ashley Powers (63.27.176.74) -- Tuesday, December 19 2006, 11:18 pm I really enjoy this poem! I'm doing a poetry project with the theme "Everyone needs dreams and goals to succeed." This poem really fits the theme, and it has so much truth to it. I agree with everything Barbara Goodhew wrote. |

Bipedalguy (75.67.182.104) -- Thursday, November 15 2007, 11:49 pm I have always had dreams and goals. Mostly dreams. I read a book that said "Don't restrict yourself by picking goals that are too modest, but don't set absurd goals." He gave an example of a reasonable goal: "to fly across the U.S.A. in ones own private Boeing 747." His example of an absurd goal: "to fly across the U.S.A. unaided by any mechanical contrivance whatsoever. (without an aircraft)" I gave up on my own Boeing 747, but I have flown on every type of aircraft imaginable, including a sailplane. (Glider) Great write. |
