Why The Wait
7 October, 2000
Author: Pamela O'Brien
Maybe I should have noticed
Or taken the time to see
That all of this time together
All you wanted was me
At first you played it as friendship
I didn't know you wanted more
You said you'd be with me forever
And I had no idea what for
Then you came and told me your feelengs
You've held inside for so long
Then you told me you're sorry
But I said you'd done nothing wrong.
Why did you wait to tell me
the way that you really felt?
And when you kissed me
You made my lonely heart melt
