All that is within me is hushed,
as I pause my spirit for a moment.
Focusing on a still photograph of
you suddenly appearing in the corner of my mind…
Affecting the effervescence of my soul…

A visible mark, like a fingerprint carrying
evidence of an old trail we once traveled together revisits me.
All that is within me is still, as I try to understand why.
When I have forbade you all access inside of me long ago.
Now affecting the effervescence of my soul…

Erasing, forgetting, or removing a past lover from
the files of the soul appears to be a cleverly evaded request.
How dare you surface inside of me unannounced!
Affecting the effervescence of my soul…
