Who Is This Child, Who Am I?

Laying on your cold bed at night
In your dark room you just dont feel right
You listen to a little child crying and screaming
Oh how you wish you were just dreaming!
You cut yourself and make sure you are not asleep
This time you may have gone to deep,
Watch the blood drip down to the floor
Suddenly you hear a knocking on your door..
The child stops crying but still screams for help
You do not care you think only of yourself
Blood begins rushing down your hand
A red puddle starts forming where you stand,
You take a step towards the door
The innocent child begins crying once more.
You look at the door and just start to stare
You do not know the child you do not care
The child screams for help one last time, it stops crying
You are still dying
You have nothing to waste
Your only fear must be faced.
You turn knob and open the door
and see the child laying on the floor
The child was murdered, it is dead
it's wrist was cut, suddenly sumthing pops into your head...
This child, this child you once knew
This child was you.
You fall to your knees
Your cut no longer bleeds
You are amazed as the dead lifless child gets up and walks away
it changed you... you know hope to see another day
Another day to waste and dream away
Another day on this earth you must stay
Suicide will not take your problems away
But sometimes it seems like the only way.
