In Love

It can hit you when you least expect it
You may find it after searching for it
Like a tidal wave, it can hit you full force
It can bide its' time, let Nature take its' course
It can be all consuming, in a wonderful way
Not a fleeting infatuation, dare I say
Where you can think of nothing else at the moment
That which you desire, a welcomed torment
It can make each day brighter, which will warm your heart
Make Valentine's Day more meaningful, with a sweetheart
It can lead to a blindness, so they say
Make people buy silk boxers and sexy negligee
When you fall into it, you do not want helped out
To feel its' wonder, is what Life is all about
Enjoy the moment, savor every memory
You never know when you may lose it, a true catastrophe
It is best given, but desired to be received
We all have a yearning for it, a natural need
Let it fill you with happiness, then share it with all
It's something that we search for and in it, gladly fall.
