Deep Blue Space by Pondering Red

Your eyes are blue like the Caribbean sea
at Isla Mujeres.
They penetrate through me.
From them come radiations of care and love,
warm as the noonday sun soothing my weary soul.
Our souls met somewhere near Andromeda, deep in space,
where I have floated aimlessly for so long.
I was waiting in a nearby galaxy;
but even at the speed of light,
your signal took many decades to reach me,
to spiral down and around my wandering soul.
No more wandering- we are going together on an endless journey
into the vastness of black velvet space
and the comfort of earths tender ground.
We shall experience something beyond our wildest dreams,
at the point where fantasies becomes real.
Tender fantasies like space are infinite,
but for this moment let me just dwell on this
yes, what's a light year in the cosmos.
We are only at the beginning, point zero.
Yes, the mystery lies in the discovery.
the more we discover
the more we feel how ignorant and fragile we are
and yet how strong and smart we can be
Even as mere human beings,
we can feel things beyond our understanding
and surrender to this mystery
I look at you, you look at me,
and this mystery travels deep in my heart.
What mystery lies there..I hope to discover
to discover the meaning of our existence,
on lonely planet earth, where life is blooming
and I see your reflection in the earthshine.
On Venus we see the earth shine like a lucky star.
Now all the universes merge into the gaze of your eyes....and
I feel the greatest love of all,
harmony,peace of mind and heavenly grace.

I enjoy the exercise of dialogue poetry with others..This I wrote with a friend I met on the net while chatting awhile ago...he had never written a poem ( what is a poem ? ) before....
