Outside My Windows
18 November, 2002
Author: Pondering Red
outside my windows
the comforting scenes of activity
under the dominant sky.
the always busy gas station
the constant motion of people
sometimes i am one of them.
the huge poster of the temptress
on the four floor building
almost covers the wall.
blue jeans red boots
her smile seduces the passers by
she greets me every morning
and late nightime
i watch her...
outside my windows
the seasons fly by
now frozen with approaching winter
leaves struggle to stay on
happy with a windless day
they flutter and twitch
almost alone exposed.
a man pumps gas into his car
getting ready for the weekend, i suppose.
the poster girl keeps seducing the passers by
and i keep watching for you.
