She Dances With The Moon
19 February, 2002

she walks into rooms and people notice
her passion
she wears it scented
people sense this
back straight mind weaving
colours that burst with
flavours i can taste
savour
surely in Cuba
she dances with the moon
under sun bursting with joy realized
patterns of flowers swaying
she plays on the sandy shore
sure confident
large smile
rhythm carrying
back home
northern cold chills this city
pretty in the night time
blue shadow snow blanklets warm
her room filled with energy still
moving with her laughter
as happy as i am for her
independance and exploring ways
i count the days
she flys back
a beautiful girl
with a taste of Cuba
daughter divine
