Cinnamon Taffy Days
4 December, 2000
Author: Pondering Red
How is it that you were
so full of generic brand
syrupy sweetness
last brown sugary summertime ?
You inhaled the madness
of the harvest moon
painting buckets of golden
rich red dripping deliciously
on crisp candy cinnamon
flavoured autumn time.
How is it that we skipped
and walked in mid air
hand in hand down
delightful streets
embroidered homes encased by
velvet flowers
and glistening vines
as dust sprinkled
joyful future chocolate promises ?
How is it that this was so ?
