My Pet
3 February, 2002
Author: Barbara Goodhew
She doesn't need much just food, water and love.
That's all we need too, but it's never enough.
She never turns me away, never gets mad.
I fallasleep on couch or in chair,
She doesn't seem to care.
But when I'm sad she licks my hand.
As if to say It's okay I'm here at your command.
Some get carried away with their pets.
I see why now, pets need very little.
But give so much.
she doesn't care
