A Poem For You
27 April, 2003
Author: Red Dragon (Bernz)
Tonight, staring at the ceiling
I hear nothing, but my memories and dreams
My mind is sailing, above me hardly
I notice the dust and cobwebs floating
That occupy this once white washed wood.
Tick tock tick tock, says the clock
Telling me the indefinite figures I long
My eyes are tired the way my mind is
My being, I guess is also tired of being alone
Outside stars twinkle, but what could they give
They only are an adornment on the blank Night sky,
Vast and unending, like a midnight journey into the woods
The journey inside me that has taken me in all directions.
Like moonbeams painting the silent roofs
And more silence eats the time like amoeba.
Staring until the blink becomes tears
I succumb to the comfort of my pillows
Which are insensitive to my sorrows
Perhaps the bed too, if it could only complain
Is sick and feed-up carrying my weight
The way the load on my brain and heart
Has nailed me to the daily rituals of work and sleep
You who read this may know of the uphill climb I am facing
Partly, perhaps, yes but you can only nod in silence
I don't know how far I can go
And if you have been to where I am going
Or perhaps you have touched even the tip of the soft angel's wing
Here I offer my hand with palm opened to battle the dwindling hope
Would you take my hand and lead me with care?
Would you even whisper and say: "Hold on, I'll take you there"?

Now the climb out of it, can be long or short. I must say I have been there and now a memory. It was a long climb of sorrows, laying there at night. I occupied my time with sports and playing music. Then someone speciel came into my life again. Nice work, you've touch my inner mind of remembrance. Keep climbing brah! |
