Toothache by Red Dragon (Bernz)

I went to work today
Wearing socks of white, the other blue
Out of the elevator, heading to the hallway
Someone noticed, my fly was unzipped too

When I was gearing up this morning
In my coffee, I added juice, thinking
It was sugar, or was I reaching out for cream?
Didn't notice the toast burning
I was still busy dreaming
At the sink washing dishes
Cleaning leftovers from last night's drunkenness
Staring at the plate with the faucet whizzing
I saw your face through the suds and foam
Or was it your voice I heard, from the bathroom?
Shower's done, time to brush the teeth
Shampoo on my toothbrush, I squeezed!

In the office, I entered the wrong room
Took the wrong seat, for I was following
Someone wearing your perfume
The red dress, striking and reminding
The hair, the gait and the grace
Facing her, she was wearing the wrong face.
In the evening, five minutes to six
I wasn't aware one by one started leaving
At your photograph, my eyes were transfixed
If only you were here, I'd be gone home fast and quick
By the doorstep, your smile is a pleasant greeting
And you'd be whispering: "dear, dinner is waiting"
As I step out of my workplace
Can't even figure out what to do, where to go
A few bottles of beer, or a movie?
Take a bus ride or a plane or a boat to the sea?
Walk instead of waiting for a taxi?
Unexpectedly my tooth aches
A sudden pain
Piercing my heart
Pinching my brain
This is how much I miss you..
