To Accept And Heal
12 August, 2002
Author: Robert F.C. Rains
The National Cathedral
We remember the carnage
At the World Trade Center.
Shock, coming back to life,
Angered, as well as saddened.
Our country is drawn
Through the grief,
To heal our souls,
To accept our pain.
We are aware of the evil
Unleashed on our countrymen.
Terrorists have erred,
For the wrath of a superpower
Is now set free.
There is no escape.
