Faded To Death
28 January, 2004
Author: RubyDragon
Thinking of you every night and day
love is a demon I cannot slay,
hurting and tearing me within
and I still keep going I don't give in,
losing my fight and going out of mind
I have a lot of love to give and none to find,
It's driving me to insanity
and destroying my vanity,
this ground is freezing and my soul is weak
my heart is til beating but my eyes still leak,
blood pours down cheeks so hot
missing loving arms and comfort a lot,
Still I don't admit defeat
the pool of blood steaming with heat,
within I lay on the ice cold floor
anguish piercing my body, can't take no more,
I close my eyes, tired, dignity still at top
slowly, slowly, my heart stops,
This life just begun, suddenly ends
into the sky my spirit ascends,
above the ground my inner self sours
o'keeper of death I am yours!!

Esp., the part about "love is a demon I cannot slay"!! I love the sense of sight in your poem!! I just hope you're not welcoming death to take over in real life. I hope you have fun, and continue to post your lovely poetry on this site!! Meridian |
