The Day The World Stood Still
11 December, 2003
Author: RubyDragon
The day the world stood still
I lay on my back,
and cry at the fact I still love
then with a mighty sharp crack,
the thunder clapped all around
and the rain hit the ground,
The day the world stood still
I lay here and I cry,
the stormy weather contemplating my fate
for no unusual reason why,
I just lay here in the darkened night
longing for the morning light,
The day the world stood still
I lay and I lay and I lay,
and for some uncertain realisation
I just want to stay,
out here in the blackened rain
with the weeping fears that will never refrain.
