Sleepless Fear
24 April, 2003
Author: RubyDragon
Once before and again
still no realisation as the blood flies,
anger all around as his hand draws back
lands with a sharp smack, and she cries
happened so many different occasions
and like usual, she returns after evasion,
This time is different, that's what they all say
then everything's calm for while,
after so long she steps out of line
red face, black eye, no longer a smile,
a loud snap as the floor makes contact
a whince of pain as the foot takes impact,
I know it's happened and again it will
but what can I do when she won't listen,
every night I cry to sleep
remembering when her eyes used to glisten,
now there's nothing all I see is pain
I cannot bear to see it happen again.

Red Dragon (210.14.4.51) -- Wednesday, April 30 2003, 10:28 am this is sad and effective...i seem to notice that you have diverted your frustation into writing...i know it's hard when you want to help someone and yet you are so limited...i understand your predicament...but then again very effective writing... |
