Listening
1 February, 2002
Author: Barbara Goodhew
God knew I was getting tired and to old
to handle heavy things and lift.
He tried tell me to quit.
I didn't listen, so he made me listen, no
more physical work,now.
Made me realise I can use my head too not
just my hands.
Was a good worker with my hands, tried my
best.
Using my head will be a big test.
Didn't have time for family, friends or me.
Just worked a lot it meant money, money.
Without thinking I didn't know what I
was missing.
Now that I had to slow down, and forced
to look around.
Saw I had family, friends and peoople who
care.
Should've Been Listening
