The Aftermath
28 September, 2001
Author: Ruthie
The Tears that are now shed,
Are falling heavy like rain,
For those across America,
Experiencing loss, grief and pain.
The city that never sleeps
Has fallen into silence,
As volunteer rescue teams,
Sift through the remains of violence.
In fears of great wars commencing
And more falling of our men,
There are those wishing for loved ones,
To walk through their doors again.
But pain comes from knowing,
That all those who have died,
Died for an unknown cause,
With growing hatred towards all those that hide.
Our heart goes out to the families
And the 62 affected nations as a whole,
So God bless you and America
And the many missing souls.
