Make Believe

Author: Ruthie
When i wake up in the morning,
Nothing is all what it seems.
I drift through a world of make believe,
Between my real life and my dreams.
Between sleeping and walking,
The alarm clock's jangling cry,
Becomes the roaring fire light,
That hurls me though the sky.
This light took me to heaven,
Past planets still un known.
And now i venture through your world,
I no longer feel alone.
Your world to me,
Seems like your loving hand,
welcoming me to roam you land.
And i feel so free...
A sudden beam
Of light interrupts my thoughts
And soon realize
it's only a dream....
Of a world of MAKE BELIEVE.

I can dream about the happy, crazy things that don't bring on disappointment. For instance, an adventure with Captain John Luke on the Enterprise, venturing into space passing the nine planets. Any escape from the trap door of the dark thoughts that seem to enter without knocking. Your poem is very interesting!! |
