I was laying there, with you on my bed
I sat there and listened, to each word you said
I wish we could have stayed, like that forever
Just the two of us, always and together
I am here for you, I know that I'm no prize
What is on your mind? I see it in your eyes
I would never dream, of ever hurting you
You've known me for a time, I think you know it's true
I would protect you, for you I'd give my life
I wish you'd put away, that over used knife
Every time we're here, I want to embrace
I know that I could not, ever go replace
My feelings for you, I will not let you down
It hurts me so much, even when you frown
I'll hold you when you're scared, I'll never let you go
You'll never have to worry, at least this much I know
I'll give you all I can, just know I do care
Whenever you need me, I'll always be there
