Past Forever

I’m looking at an empty bottle, I think ill grab just one more
I hear a knock and I give my hopes up as I run to the door
It’s not you once more….really, what was I thinking?
Heartbroken again…I guess I’ll get back to drinking

No I won’t say a prayer for us now
Because I know we’ll see each other again
I’ll wait till I say goodbye once more
I know that’s when the true pain will begin

Wow look at that, another case I’ve put down
I’m still disheartened, you’re no where to be found
I had the world in my hands and I threw it all away
The girl of any man’s dreams vanished, Rachele Mae

I dream of the day we live together, but I know it’s just a dream
For some reason god has another idea for me, a different scheme
I’d give anything to be with her, I wish somehow we could be
The spell she has on me, I’m hooked I wish she could just see

No matter what happens in this life, I know it will work out
She completes me, the only thing my life’s all about
Even if we don’t get to be together through the rest of our years
I know in the end, god will make sure it’s worth all my tears

He’ll make sure we meet again, and live forever in bliss
While life may be breathtaking, a greater plan exists
So even if we never meet again in this life
Somehow I know god will make it all right

Because in time I know one day my life will fade away
And no matter where you are…somehow you’ll hear me say
Past forever I will love you, past forever I’ll be here
Past forever I will wait for you, on the other side of tears…
