Sunken Hope
20 September, 2002
Author: Sax
This voyage is to be a short one,
what we have will not last,
it was never ment to,
I can already feel it.
I'd be lieing if I said I wanted it to happen,
a part of me wishes the day never has to come,
but deep in my heart I know that day is soon coming,
I want to hold it back with all my strength,
but theres nothing I can do,
I cant float a sinking ship.
I'm ready for the day,
I'm ready to let what we have collapse and become only history,
I'm ready to be alone again,
just say something,
send down the final bolt,
the one and only strike,
the single moment to end all of these emotional lies.
My bag is packed,
it's time to send me back on the hard deserted road

Seizure (68.154.2.211) -- Sunday, September 22 2002, 05:00 pm Though it seems in the beginning of the poem you are wanting civilization to die... but at the end it sounds like you want God to strike you dead (or something similar? My interpretation)... at least people have to interpret the real meaning. I enjoyed it. |
