Red With Blood

Like a bird,
she flew away.
For reasons beyond our control,
we parted our separate ways.

I feel the pain.
Don’t you see it?
Can’t you see it?
I can feel it.

My heart aches,
my heart cracks,
wounds new and old surface,

My heart is red with blood,
blood from my wounds,
red from my pain.

I can see into my heart,
and I know what is there.
Red with blood

My world is coming down,
I'm not the one who brought it down,
but I know it's coming down.

Look into my eyes,
see what I lack,
and all what I have...

All I have is pain.

All I have is pain...

My heart is red....
Red with blood...
Blood from all my wounds...

If I die will you notice?
I doubt it, but all the same,
you'll roll on by with a fake tear in your eye,

a serpents tear.

Nothing but meaningless.

How long will this last?
How long will it linger?
Will I ever heal from my wounds?
The wounds upon my fragile heart.

I'm only human,
they don't seem to care.
Poke and prod,
I break down and humor them.
They don't care about me.

Yeah I know...
I know...

My heart is red....
Red with blood...
Blood from all my wounds...
