Breath Of Life
19 September, 2003
Author: Seizure
You've gotta rise up and never turn away
You gotta trust me, I swear I'm here to stay
Sorry if you're hurt, I never meant a thing
I will be the one, to mend your broken wing
Please can you just go and have faith in me
I know you think I'll always try to flee
Everytime I'm around, I'm a king with no crown
No one trusts in me, I won't let you down
You can turn to me when no one else said you could
You can turn to me when you are misunderstood
I want to go and help you the best that I can
Just one thing to keep in mind I am only a man
I'll give it all my best, I'll help you see the light
Now toss away that fear that you will be alone at night
I want to be there for you, you gotta let me in
I know there's trust left in with you it is just deep within
You can turn to me when you think it's too much
You can turn to me when you miss the warmth of touch
I don't know what to do exactly but this is for you
Your trust and your love is something I'll pursue
I've lived the life you're heading to and it does not look good
It's a life of pain and anguish I wish you understood
Let's go outside so you can feel the warmth upon your face
I think you'd agree with me it is time to leave this place

Ben (67.123.245.148) -- Friday, September 19 2003, 06:49 pm Seizure, this is good one about caring for someone else. You keep on saying it in different ways and keep on showing it with actions, though it comes with difficulty at times. I enjoyed reading this by you and liked many elements contained in it. You have a good talent. Thanks! Oh, yes, I like the Title, too! |
Seizure (68.158.39.20) -- Friday, September 19 2003, 07:02 pm Thanks Ben. This one was inspired by Leah06. She tossed four lines at me, I hacked them up, kept what I liked, and ran with it. I also made this a song... but I doubt many people here would like it. I'm glad it was enjoyed... thanks again. |
Terrie* (67.25.126.215) -- Friday, September 19 2003, 07:06 pm Seiz, this was absolutely fantastic...i know that if i was ever hurt or in the fear of being alone and in need of a warm souls touch..having someone special come up to me and speak those words that embrace me before they exit their lips ..i would of been sold right on the spot......excellent job... |
Ash (24.97.207.94) -- Friday, September 19 2003, 07:10 pm Oh Seiz I loved this. It's differnet for you but i love it just the same. I would love to hear the song too. |
Seizure (68.158.39.20) -- Friday, September 19 2003, 07:23 pm Damn, I just got through posting a comment here and I already have two more? Thanks Ash and Terrie! Terrie, really? You think these words would help? I was wondering if people would find this cheesy... I'm glad that was a no. Ash, I agree it's different... as a matter of fact, I think it's one of the only positive message writings I have EVER done. I know it's the only positive song I've ever done... I'll let you hear it next time we talk. |
Ash (24.97.207.94) -- Friday, September 19 2003, 08:04 pm I have read one other + one by you but the idea was given to you by someone else just like this one. It was a love one, i think |

martin Vann (171.75.207.206) -- Saturday, September 27 2003, 10:50 pm Seiz, I read a lot of your work, think you know that, however, I only pop up, now and then, I know you fairly, well. Your too sharp to read a comment that is trite and reply. This I can say, with honesty, within this poem, I feel you have new strength, not the victim in this one, but your seeing one who will be. I respect your move to hold out your hand to this one, who is headed for a barren land. Pretty cool Seiz, I hope you feel as good as this poem is. Always a friend of yours..., MartinV |

Morgan Marie (207.28.86.237) -- Thursday, April 15 2004, 05:06 pm I am sitting in a class tying to find poems for a poetry booklet, and I am stuck on your poems. Ever since I have started getting on this site I have been in love with your poems. The way they are written and the message they give, they entrigue me. Keep the enchantment going!! |
