Stargazing

Look into the sky tonight and think of what you see,
an endless ocean full of jewels twinkling endlessly?
or perhaps a universe of fairy tales and such,
the kinds in which young princesses whose sweet and gentle touch
may reach the coldest of the knights and bring them to the light
and fill them with the courage to venture forth and fight?
Or do you see an endless prairie full of fireflies,
who seem to have stopped in their place amongst the darkened sky?
Whatever you may see tonight, know this to be true,
that when you gaze upon the stars, I'm gazing at them too
