I Become One With The Storm
18 January, 2004
Author: Shan
Open my eyes, and glare at the outside
A snow covered ground, silent city sounds
Bare feet hit the floor and lead me to the door
Walking through the snow
Led to the warmest place I know
I open the door and sit behind the wheel
The snow and cold representing how I feel
I turn the key, put on the heat, and sigh
Stare at the windshield and watch the snow designs
The flakes turn to rain as they pelt on the glass
The snow falling heavy, the drops falling fast
I sigh once more and put my head back
Collecting thoughts and memories
Everything in my lifes track
My bare feet play with the pedal
My hand rummaging through my bag
The storm inside will never settle
The drops collect as they drag
I found what I'm looking for
As I'm watching the rain web form
I hold it tighter then ever before
As my thoughts become one with the storm
I touch the blade
Run my thumb along it's point
Many thoughts are made
As I place it on my joint
The blade finds my wrist
My fingers gripping the wheel
I pull it down like the rain
making designs of how I feel
Staring, as my blood
drips down like the rain
Here with my blood and the drops
Is the only place I feel sane
I become one with the rain
and it's dripping designs
I'm not insane, but certaintly slipping inside
My arm, like the window
Carries flowing streams
Both are forming descriptions
of all my cries and screams
I become one with my cut and the rain
I hear all they've got in them to say
I sit, listen and baist
This memory, I want saved
"The inside was reached to late"
Is what I want written on my grave
One final look at the storms design
Me? I am no more
I become one with all that's inside
I drop my closest friend
and melt into the blackness in my eyes
I hold tight to myself
and mouth out the words
My last breaths
Goodbye
