Candle Of Love
7 January, 2004
Author: Shan
I light your candle
green wax mixing with blue
It seems like a trick
It makes me think of you
It flickers and glows
As I continue to believe
It's just like you
It blows out with the breeze
Slowly it melts
All wax becomes white
It's burning all I've felt for you
When our candle was once bright
The shadows it casts
Are memories in mind
Images of our pasts
Held forever with time
It's once firm shape
Now nothing but the wick
What we had was once great
But yet faded so quick
I'm sorry, and I've tried
To keep our flame burning strong
But you left and you lied
So this is my goodbye and so long
A breath of release
Shuts out your candles last light
I'm begging you please
Don't hurt me anymore tonight
