Make It On My Own
17 October, 2003
Author: Shan
I'm about to chuck it, I'm kickin the bucket
I'm sittin jagged and rugged, Im a magget who can't hack it but I love it
So I shove you out of my way, dispite what you say
I fight to win and show my display of how I'm comin in
So make way, my futures at stake, a desire noone can take
I'm showing what I can make a day into
Take what I spray and do and mold it like clay and see through
Pry me open and try to see what me do
Dont need you to see me through, Only to myself am I true
Cause I be decieved all the time, precieved and pushed into my rhymes
I collect all the dimes for all the times you made me crawl to get what's mine
And I'm set for the rest of my life
I'll bet on ur chest and this knife that I'll be the best of all time
Come out above the rest because I know how to try
I show what I like, I know that I might be a little out of your sight
But no doubt, I'm by ur side, through every step of this ride
Because you preped me up for every step in life
You kept me up to fight for what I think is right, for every blink from my eyes
You'd let me sink, and to my surprise
That was the link that caused me to realize and think
That it was you who made me sink and grow, filled me up with ink and let me go
Sent to me to let me know that everything I be is because you held me low
Tellin me I cannot be what I seek deep down in my toes
It's you who caused this leak and now I flow what I speak just to let you know
I'll reach my peak and never let you grow inbetween where I seek to go
I'll never be alone, cause it seems that all I have is me, I'll make it on my own
