Writing Heals
25 September, 2003
Author: Shan
Every nite it's the same
Another fight with the brain
To find words that explain all the pain
In every poem that I write
You find the words that ingite
All the hurt and the fright
I can't bring myself to say
So I spend another day
Wishing for it to go away
Pushing for the words to say
Mushing letters into words
To feel better from the hurt
It's absurd the way it occured
If you're reading then you've heard
All the bleeding in every spoken word
All the pleading from my broken world
Provoking my life into being a token of hurt
But for every word that I've splurred
It never occurred through the hurt
To take myself and go toe to toe
To make these feelings show
So that I can let them blow
And finally let them go
Where they belong, behind me
Lifes been so long but you can find me
Constantly fighting about this mind boggling bind
That's got me tied up in the lines that I write
With each word that I type, another ray of light
To help stay alright through the night
And I continue to pray in every word that I say
That it will fade away and become a display
A cloud of grey that I look back on someday
A day where I will finally be Okay
