The Future Is Our Past
1 July, 2003
Author: Shan
I've been thinking about my future
Been looking over my past
Nothing is what I thought it would be
Nothing is what I was told to dream
Every new moment, a new memory to hold
Time comes so quick, passes just the same
People wonder what their future will hold
Future isn't spelled out in a line
Our future is ours to mold
With every moment that passes
Time spells out our lives for us
It gives us ability to see our reason
And accomplish what we need out of life
Every life has it's time clock
The clock must stop eventually,
But time will go on after we are gone,
Inevitably it will go on and on,
I leave myself wondering if time will never stop,
And what the world would be like without it,
Time is an endless cycle,
Each moment passes just like the last,
And each new moment that passes,
Becomes something new to add to our past
