Won't Take For Granted
5 August, 2002

"Never take for granted, anything that you see."
Those are the last words my grandmother said to me.
We had a long talk about life and how it's short,
About problems she's had and how she got them sort
She gave me the inspiration i need to calm down
Like she always did when ever I made a frown.
Only talked about the good things we've done,
The times watching movies together and having only fun.
We laughed the whole time, as we walked through the past
Little did I know, that phone call would be our last.
I love you nana, you mean more then you'll ever know
I will keep my head up for you, and wont let it get low.
That one last phone call made so much of a mark,
I know now how to take life by the hand and embark.
I'm so glad I got to hear the stories you told,
Those will be the memories, I shall forever hold.
Physically, you're not here, but I know you will see,
What I show you, I'll show you what you've taught me.
Noone is perfect, and mistakes are often made
And with time all is forgiven, bad memories will fade.
You will always be with me, I will never let go.
I will never take for granted, Just want you to know.
