Just Another Dark Night
13 January, 2003
Author: Sheetswa
The night was dark,
The clouds came rolling
There was not a sight,
Of a regular who'd strole in.
The streets were empty,
Street lights dimmed down
This was not a place,
For a teenage clown.
The night was late,
The clock kept ticking.
There was still not a sight
, Of a human being.
But in a room,
Quite close by.
Lay a deeply depressed girl,
Wanting to cry.
She couldn't figure it out,
Nor what to think.
All that came to mind,
Was,what was it that she did?!
Did she deserve all this?
And was it all her fault?
To be thrown around this way,
To be picked at with salt.
In her heart,
And deep inside her mind
She knew she had to get away,
To get out of this life.
There was nothing easier,
Than to slit her wrists
To watch her misserable life,
Drain away and into the mist.
So now there she is,
Happy as can be.
In a far away place,
A place that cannot be seen.
