I've Learned
31 December, 2002
Author: Sheila
I've learned a lot these past few weeks.
I've learned to just let the tears roll down my cheeks.
I've learned not to ever hold my feelings back.
Because if I do, Self esteem I'll lack.
I've learned how to keep them from grounding me.
I've learned to just be what I want to be.
I've learned that people actually do care,
About who I am and not just what I wear.
I've learned from suffering you get a lot.
I've learned to never let a friendship rot.
I've learned that life just isn't fair,
Even though many act like they care.
I've learned that I can't always have it my way.
I've learned to give people the time of day.
I've learned to never ever talk bad,
about someone you love even though you're mad.
I've learned that I can change a life.
I've learned not to stab myself with an emotional knife.
I've learned that a friend will always call,
Just to assure me that not everything's my fault.
These past few weeks I've learned a lot.
But the biggest thing I've learned is I love him a lot
