Can't You See?
17 November, 2003
Author: Shorty
Can’t you see I’m sinking?
I’m drowning deep inside.
Give me your hand and pull me back up.
Stop pushing me down deeper,
I can’t breathe!
I don’t need you,
You’re just making things worse.
I’ll get out myself,
Without your help.
I’ve had enough,
Just leave me alone!
I’m screaming from the deepest depths of my heart.
Take out your earplugs and listen.
Can’t you hear me cry?
I don’t care anymore,
You’re dead to me.
Just leave me alone,
And let me go free!
I’m fine by myself,
Just let me be.
Now there’s someone else,
They saved me from the depths and brought me up for air.
They listened and helped me when I needed it.
They gave me their wings,
Because I wanted to fly.
Now I am happier.
I have a brand new life.
Now you want me back,
Oh, I see how It is…
You don’t care when I’m with you, yet,
Without me you’ll die?
Well, forget it, then,
I’m done with you!
Now I’m free to just be me,
So why wont you be you?
