The Narrow Road
16 April, 2002

Often in our lives
I wonder why we choose
to take the narrow road...
The one that leads to nowhere
as we tote a heavy load.
Our hearts are filled with misery
though we have been told...
We hold on to our burdens
and take the narrow road.
If we'd stop to watch a sunset
or a flower we would hold...
the load would be much lighter
along the narrow road.
