Never Did I Dream by Princess Moon

Never did I dream of this, on such a fine autumn day so dear
That I'd finally be with "the one" in my life and sit with him without a single fear
His eyes are an abstract of riches, his skin is the softest of touch
Can this be fantasy, or is it just that the reality for me is too much

Never did I dream he'd be holding me, ever so close to his heart
To where everything was just no longer threatening to me, like it never did from the start
His arms so strong and broad, caressing every strand of my hair
Causing me to fall into a deep sleep, and go on dreaming without a care

Never did I dream I'd finally meet him, that special someone God had put in my life
To help me get through all the pain and sorrow, to help me get through all the strife
God did indeed bless me in the most beautious of ways, with a person of understanding and love
It's like as if God sent him from heaven as a guardian angel to do a special duty instead of staying up above

Never did I dream I'd be at this moment, to where I could come to feel like an angel and sing a heavenly song
Knowing everything is going to be okay, like nothing I could do would be wrong
I guess I did dream it after all, I guess I did come across such a spectacular thought
Because I found myself to be awaken up in bed, and still alone without "the one" in which I sought

Thanx Meridian! Unfortunately, this poem has yet to apply to me, I am only a teen after all. But I wrote this poem to see how creative and realistic I could get when it came to unrequited love ya know. I'm glad you enjoyed it though, I loved it when i finished it up. Thanx again!~Princess Moon

thank you for such beautiful warm comments placed upon my work, sweetie,i love this! i know the feelin' in this so well "i always dreamed" after so many years of a paused life from losing my one and only true love to death, i never dreamed that the love from my dreams,would bring me someone with mature wisdom and knowledge with a paused life as well, a love sent from Heaven, i believe a gift from God and my first love..thank you for this read..i've read your many others as well..all lovely ! i chose this one to return my comment pertainin' to mine..you shine with a rare gift..
