What Is Love?
11 April, 2004
Author: Clive B Ringshall
Each time I see you it's just like the first,
Each time I touch you I hope it's not the last,
For me my heads always in a spin,
Never knowing which way is up,
For me my heart took a leap,
Not knowing when to stop,
Can you tell me what love is
For me my feelings became all jumbled,
To untangle seems unreal,
Each waking thought that passes through,
Is about you and the next time I'll see you.
Is this love for real in you and me?
>From my head right down to my toes,
Each part of me is about you,
Holding you in my arms,
Holding you in my thoughts,
Can you tell me what is love?
Does love really exist?
Is your love the same as mine?
I know I feel so much so new so different,
I know these feeling are because of you,
Could this be love?
Been fooled before; been there again,
Almost did not come back from the last,
Hurt so bad; hurt so much,
Days of crying,
Days thinking of the end,
What is this thing called love?
Until you tell me different,
My feelings will betray my heart,
My heart will then be lead astray,
I'll trust in you as I have in others,
Get hurt again this I know,
So why do I fall so many times this way?
What is love?

The definition above in your poem, is very well written! I'm obliged that you found your soul mate! Great rhetorical question, "WHAT IS LOVE!" Meridian |
