Helping A Friend

When you're helping a friend
it doesn't matter if you have a clue
they're just trapped in a trend
all they need is you
Helping a friend
may have seemed easy
now with a closer look
their whether seems cold & breezy
What do you do when they are depressed?
Trying to help
and giving it your best?
Helping a friend
what do you do?
Helping a friend
afraid that it was caused by you
When you finally can't take it
your around it all the time
you fall into a pit
feel like your worth a dime.
Helping a friend
they're starting to get better
helping a friend
they wrote you a thank you letter.
Now your the person who really needs a friend
Now your the one trapped in a trend
Now you go to the them
and they come to help you
You come togther
not as one, but as two
Helping a friend
it turns around, that bend
Helping a friend
the cycle comes again
It never stops coming
when you have a friend
they cycle keeps on going
and never ever ends
