Times Change
2 November, 2003
Author: Stacey
Cold will kill flowers, light will leave from sight
All beauty fades, days will turn to night
Everybody fails, yet some still succeed
Nothing lasts forever, everyone can bleed
All will face some loss, everyone breaks down
People lose their way, kings all lose their crown
People face regret, many more still die
Life's purpose will leave, so why even try?
Times will always change, nothing stays the same
Flowers tend to grow, with a little rain
When you think you're fine, something knocks you down
A loved one makes you smile, smiles become frowns
People talk about you, when you're not around
Listen to the darkness, silence is the sound
Glass will only shatter, splintering your skin
Nothing really matters, you can never win
Tears will always dry, hiding all the pain
Scars are there forever, this world is insane
Take a step forward, only to fall back
Why can't anyone, cut some fucking slack?
People need much help, most never receive
Others frown upon, those that tend to grieve
Life is full of pain, no one knows your name
It will stay the same, look what we became
