Yet Time Goes On
28 April, 2003
Author: Stacey
Time passes slow for a child who's sick
Listen closely, as the clock it ticks
A mother weeps by a hospital bed
It won't be long before her child is dead
Yet time goes on
New babies are born
Yet time goes on
New smiles are worn
He checks his watch, but can barely see
Last week he just turned 93
It seems like yesterday, when he was young
and now his time is almost done
He waits...
Yet time goes on
New babies are born
Yet time goes on
New smiles are worn
Each grain of sand slips through the glass
Each grain of sand, a second passed
