Falling Away
17 December, 2003
Author: Stacy
falling away...
as a memory
buried 'neath opaque layers of time
fading warmth, fading sensation, fading image
blurred, corroding from the edges in.
falling away...
as a dream
faintly remembered, ephemeral, surreal
a lovely cloud of dispersing vapor
vanishing, emptiness filling its void.
you're falling away...
from my world
leaving nothing behind
nothing but empty memories
vacant dreams in my mind.
you're falling away...
as I fall away, too
for there will be nothing left of me
when there is nothing left of you.
