Your Love
21 December, 2002
Author: Stacy
your love:
a double-edged sword
penetrating, piercing my heart and soul
delving into the depths of my being touching me, moving me as none other before
and yet...
it flickers and maims
toying, playing games
slowly turning
torture, this burning
fully within me
but I fully outside
though unsheathed
still more it hides
and I willingly submit
bear my chest for it lashing
succumb to painful bliss
to gentle tingling, brutal thrashing
I only pray when time is upon our fate,
when you relinquish my body
the blade be sharp, your last stroke swift
so as to rip open my flesh
drain life to its last
let me drown in the pool
it still lodged in my petrifying heart
submerge me fully in dark
not leave me wounded, vulnerable
to fall
again.
