Just Open Your Eyes And See

Our world is filled with hatred,
And that we can't deny.
People are killing for no reason,
Yet no one questions why.
A person's life was short,
Over the colors they chose to wear.
What is happening to our world?
Doesn't anybody care?
The cities are filled with crime,
Destruction is arould us all.
What more will it take to see,
Our world is about to fall.
Years ago doors could remain locked,
But that was way back when.
Now people are scared to go outside,
In fear they won't return home again.
We need to work together to end the violence,
Stop and think about this plea.
Ignoring the problems won't make them go away,
The first step is to just open your eyes and see!

And sometimes like you said in your poem, getting mad over the stupid stuff and want to end a person's life because of that. Again, that is a very outstanding poem! |
