Thank You

Ripping away at my youthfullness,
Tearing apart all my pride.
Scraping the remains of my dignity,
Regretting the tears that I cried.
My heart is a graveyard of promises,
that died in the palm of your hand,
My body's a fire of passion,
that extinguishes upon your command.
Breaking the walls of my happiness,
Fogging my vision of love,
Destroying the peace that surrounds me,
Confining my faith from above.
Your love was a wasteland of insults,
that were born in the pit of your soul.
My eyes were a window of hatred,
and my life was a gem that you stole.
Now the doorways are closing around me,
and there's no place for anyone to hide,
Iv'e buried myself in your shadow,
and everything good in me's died.
