it's hard sometimes
when people you love change
and theres nothing you can do
but let them go their own way

you have to cherish the memories
and the love that was shared
letting go is so hard,
and pretending you dont care

He tells you to be strong
and to try your hardest to smile
but the pain wont go away
and your stuck in a state of denile

Your heart aches for his love
that he no longer wants to give
and you are no longer what he needs
which makes life so hard to live

but someday you'll be ok
though he will never be replaced
you will learn to be on your own
and the hurt will be erased
